This video will demonstrate how to disguise a leg attack by distracting the opponent with hand combinations. Once practitioners are comfortable with the basic techniques of Muay Thai, we delve more into the mental aspect and learn how the fight becomes an intelligent strategy game. We introduce three different drills that build upon each other to condition the opponent’s mind not to expect a leg kick. For these drills, it is very helpful to have a training partner and proper equipment (gloves and shin guards) is recommended at all times.

This video will demonstrate how to shadowbox and explain the proper mindset for practitioners to get the most out of their shadowboxing. This method of training is used to warm up the body and the mind by having practitioners visualize fighting an imaginary opponent in order to run through their arsenal of techniques. The focus in shadow boxing should always be proper form and practitioners are welcome to pause their imaginary fight and repeat a given technique or combination as many times as it takes for it to feel comfortable. This video will demonstrate the basics of the Muay Thai clinch with emphasis on control, leverage and how to use knee strikes in this scenario. We will also introduce round knees, a different kind of knee strike, and demonstrate the difference between a straight and round knee. The human body takes a lot of strain from standing jobs such as retail, food service and preparation, and health care. The hard surfaces upon which we stand and walk certainly don’t help the situation. This video will demonstrate a sequence of yoga poses to loosen a tight lower back and hamstrings, bring mobility and strength to the ankles and feet, as well as build strength in the legs to prevent damage to the lower joints. It is recommended to practice this sequence every day in the morning upon waking and at night before sleeping. If this is not possible, then at least three times per week, once a day. Practitioners should always listen to the “yes” and “no” signals of their own bodies, focusing on the internal feeling of where the pose is working, not the external shape of how it looks.
