ASMR: Naked Breathing Meditation 4: Pranayama! (NAKED YOGA SCHOOL®) with Avartana
Breath awareness and breath exercise is crucial for many aspects of our lives such as increasing circulation, improving focus and awareness, balancing the body and mind, and overall better health and more “life force” energy. Pranayama is one of the original branches of yoga which focuses primarily on the breath. “Pran” translates to “life force”. Today, I will start with a cleansing breath to purify the body and mind, followed by kapalbati to make the breath longer and stronger. Next we will practice bhastrika which clears the mind. And, then, we will do alternate nostril breathing to balance the mind and sides of the body, and end with humming bee breath followed by a relaxing wave breath technique. This class is for all levels. Everyone can benefit from breath exercises and awareness of breath. Caution: If you feel any sensations of dizziness, stop immediately. No props are needed. -NYV0194B
