In this practice, I will help you motivate when you feel weighed down by stress or depression. Mental health is a vital and often neglected part of achieving a state of well-being. In yoga, we teach and demonstrate how the mind and body are intimately bound through the breath, and therefore physical, mental, emotional, spiritual health are all connected.
Yoga is not a substitute for therapy, medication or other professional treatment, but can be a wonderful supplementary practice for improving quality of life when you are living with a mental illness.
This is a moderately paced practice with comforting affirmations for strong beginners. -NYV0115C
