Yin Style Naked Yoga 12: Deep Stretch! (NAKED YOGA SCHOOL®) with Avartana
Yin style yoga will incorporate stretches with longer holds that can be held anywhere between 1 – 10 minutes. Yin Style Deep Stretch will help to stretch deeper tissues such as tendon’s, ligaments, facia, and deep connective tissues. These areas have less blood vessels and require more time to be stretched. Practicing only fast paced yoga flows helps to gain bigger muscles, but for a wider range of motion, Deeper Stretch is needed because it addresses the joints, tendons, and connective tissues. This class is great for beginners but also important for yoga students at any levels.
Caution: Do not stretch to where there is a pain or a pinching sensation. If you feel this, simply ease off on the stretch. Props (block/s, bolster and/or a blanket) are encouraged if they will help to relax into the poses. -NYV0192B
