Today’s naked yoga class is a short and sweet 15 minute flow that is done sitting in a chair. It’s a great sequence for office workers who want to take a stretch break, or anyone sitting in a chair who is feeling tense, stressed, or just wants to relax! We will focus on opening the neck and shoulders and also incorporate other stretches and modifications for a brief, traditional yoga flow. Caution: Since we will utilize the chair for some stretches, it’s important to not stretch past one’s “edge” where there is any pain or pinching sensation. Breath awareness and breath exercise is crucial for many aspects of our lives such as increasing circulation, improving focus and awareness, balancing the body and mind, and overall better health and more “life force” energy. Pranayama is one of the original branches of yoga which focuses primarily on the breath. “Pran” translates to “life force”. Today, I will start with a cleansing breath to purify the body and mind, followed by kapalbati to make the breath longer and stronger. Next we will practice bhastrika which clears the mind. And, then, we will do alternate nostril breathing to balance the mind and sides of the body, and end with humming bee breath followed by a relaxing wave breath technique. This class is for all levels. Everyone can benefit from breath exercises and awareness of breath. Caution: If you feel any sensations of dizziness, stop immediately. No props are needed. -NYV0194B

Yin Style Naked Yoga 12: Deep Stretch! (NAKED YOGA SCHOOL®) with Avartana
Yin style yoga will incorporate stretches with longer holds that can be held anywhere between 1 – 10 minutes. Yin Style Deep Stretch will help to stretch deeper tissues such as tendon’s, ligaments, facia, and deep connective tissues. These areas have less blood vessels and require more time to be stretched. Practicing only fast paced yoga flows helps to gain bigger muscles, but for a wider range of motion, Deeper Stretch is needed because it addresses the joints, tendons, and connective tissues. This class is great for beginners but also important for yoga students at any levels.
Caution: Do not stretch to where there is a pain or a pinching sensation. If you feel this, simply ease off on the stretch. Props (block/s, bolster and/or a blanket) are encouraged if they will help to relax into the poses. -NYV0192B

Full Moon (lunar power) affects human body in an unique way. Some people tend to have menstruation during the Full Moon. Some people feel like crazy or become sleep deprivation because of the Full Moon effect.  In this practice, I will help you calm down the tense energy that can run through your body during the Full Moon time. This practice contains moon salutations instead of sun salutations. This class is meditative, cooling, receptive, and soothing. Practicing moon salutations (Chandra Namaskar) will help you to calm the mind and body and also open the hips. Moon salutations consist of low impact asanas (postures) that activate the parasymphatic nervous system. This helps promote rest and better digestion. This class is for all levels. Today, we will practice Nude Martial Arts: Karate, Tai-Chi, and Qigong! Qigong is also known as “moving meditation” because it involves slow flowing movements, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm, meditative mind. The purpose of qigong is to cultivate and balance qi (life force energy). We will begin with standing and start with qigong warm up exercises which were developed thousands of years ago. After our qigong warmups, we will incorporate martial arts calisthenics into the yoga sequences. This class is great for all around better circulation, energy building, and strength/dexterity building. It’s also a great fit for anyone interested in or actively practicing martial arts. Naked Arm Workout Using Your Bodyweight! (NAKED YOGA SCHOOL®) with Cecile

Don’t have weights? No problem. No fancy gym equipment? That’s swell. I know first hand that using gym props can be expensive, tricky, and I’m here to tell you that you don’t need it at all. In fact, I believe some of the most challenging arm workouts involve our own bodyweight. Now, here’s where the challenge comes in. This video involves 3 full rounds, going from 5 reps, to 10, to 15, totalling to 30 reps of these 7 exercises. You’ve got this! We will work on exercises, below:
1: Forearm plank, then use your shoulder strength to army crawl forward three steps, and backwards three steps.
2: Full plank (on wrists), and tap hand to opposite shoulder, keeping hips balanced and still
3: Lay on your left side, keeping your arm closest to the mat down by your side, the other arm is being used to push up for a “side body pushup”
4: Repeat on the other side
5: Center pushup, on knees or in full plank, keeping elbows tucked in (this helps us focus on triceps rather than chest muscles)
6: Flip onto back, hands behind you with fingertips facing glutes, push hips up into a reverse tabletop, bend elbows for ‘tricep dip’
7: Staying in this same position, lengthen legs and hold in a reverse plank.
